While I wait to get to know you, here is a little bit about me...
I have been married to Mr. Arens for almost five years now. We have an amazing son, Brendan, who is one year old. He loves to run, babble, and roar like a lion. We have tons of fun with Brendan and I'm sure you'll hear all about him. Besides being a mom, I love to read, scrapbook, cook, exercise, and go for walks with my family.
Ever since I was a little girl, I have know that I wanted to teach. I used to torture my three brothers by constantly making them students in my make-believe classroom. My childhood dream came true in 2003, when I graduated with top honors from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education. I am certified to teach grades 1-6 in Missouri. Since graduation, I have worked in the Columbia school district, in Columbia, MO, and the Parkway school district, in St. Louis. I have taught fifth grade here at Forest Park for four years now. I could not ask for a better school, staff, or student body. As I begin my fifth year, I know that I will continue to find challenges and successes here with my Forest Park family.
